Position Overview
The Project Coordinator for the scaling of PfR is 2 years new position that will facilitate internal cohesion throughout the organization and among partners within the 3 regions of Tanzania. The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic and technical direction to the implementation of the Parenting for Respectability programme among 30 faith-based schools in Tanzania,
support teachers and facilitators in the implementation PfR programme, support data collection and management, advocacy and learning and report to the Head of Programmes.
 

Responsibilities include:
1. Guidance and Oversight:
• Provide leadership to schools, region-based partners and support for collaboration and coordination across the regions.
• Supervise and guide the work of three regions. Oversee all delivery, data and research aspects of the programme, including the VACS, as well as
associated products.
• Provide oversight and guidance to program work including at the Organizational and partners levels.
• Support and guide collaboration with the Programme coordinator, including establishing priorities for the delivery of the programme, communications, and events.
 

2. Strategy, Planning, Management and Budgeting
• Ensure proper oversight, delivery and reporting on project implementation.
• In collaboration with the Programme Coordinator and Executive Director, ensure the development and maintenance of reporting systems that monitor
and track project funding and performance/results.
• In collaboration with the CTP team and with the guidance of the ED, establish ongoing priorities to achieve targets and ensure all deliverables are met. Work with the Finance to codify these into an annual work plan and budget, and make adjustments as necessary.
 

3. Partner Relations
• Serve as the liaison and primary contact for the CTP Leadership and partners including the targeted schools
• Support internal communications systems and relationships with partners to ensure strong communications channels across and between partners.
• Strong donor relations and paying attention to donor interest.
 

4. Other Organizational Leadership
• Provide backstop support to the Executive Director.
• Exemplify, demonstrate and build upon the organizational values and cultural practices.
• Serve as the focal point for proper implementation and updates to the CTP Child Safeguarding Policy
• Being swift, available and flexible in responding to assignments and meeting deadlines.
 

Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong track record in managing Parenting and violence prevention programs. At least 2 years should be in a
leadership position.
• Experience and understanding of issues surrounding violence prevention and response, child protection, gender-based violence, and approaches.
• A strong technical background and in-depth experience working with schools, groups of men and women and the social sector.
• Management background that includes oversight of budgets, reporting, and management.
• Strong skills as a public speaker and writer, representing organizations externally.
• Evidence of strong interpersonal communications and facilitation skills
• High level of integrity, transparency, initiative, creativity, and problem- solving capacity.
• Strong and inclusive leadership and management qualities. A collaborative, warm, consensual leadership style.
• Committed to upholding CTP values.
• Knowledge and experience in advocacy, communications and campaigning is a plus, but not necessary.
• Proven success in supporting fundraising and donor relations is a plus, but not necessary.
 

Education
Advanced university degree in social sciences, public health, management or related fields is preferred.
 

Languages
• Must be fluent in both verbal and written English.
• Other language skills, particularly  Swahili, are desirable.
 

Location
This position is a full-time (40-hours per week) position based at the office location in Matugga – Gulu high way; with frequent visits to Tanzania.
 

Compensation
